Hello!

 

My name is Jessica and I am a professional seamstress and dressmaker.

 

I have always loved being able to complete a garment from idea, to sketch, to piece of wearable art. Whether it be in theatre, film, tailoring, bridalwear, millinery or any other creative form. I have been sewing and designing for most of my life, and studied and refined my craft at the Arts University Bournemouth for three years. After graduating I worked abroad in Germany for a couple of months before returning and settling into my first job as a military tailor in Wiltshire. After perfecting my abilities there I moved on to a job that I view more as a career - working as a designer, consultant and seamstress at a bridal boutique specialising in bespoke bridal wear whilst also working privately as a seamstress myself. From there, I have been working freelance as a seamstress and set up my own company, Jessica Patricia Limited, in 2021 to focus on doing what I love. I also frequently work as a leatherworker and prop maker on film productions to keep things varied!

 

I have experience in all aspects of design, tailoring, leatherwork and dressmaking, and I hope to continue working on all manner of different projects throughout my career.
